About the event

Max group size 25 (drop in/out style rather than hike) Meet in Harrison  Park (by the river just east of the playground washrooms) to learn tips  on how to identify aquatic insects like (larval) dragonflies,  damselflies, mayflies, caddisflies and more. Rosie will have tables set  up with microscopes and invertebrates collected from a nearby beaver  pond.  This event (it is not a hike) will run from 1:00-4:00 on a drop in/drop  out basis with a maximum of 25 people at any one time. The Owen Sound  Young Naturalists have been invited to join us from 2pm to 4pm. Rosie will be giving a stream sampling demonstration and will talk  briefly about differences between organisms living in lentic and lotic  habitats. Kid friendly (please supervise around water)!   Please bring a mask if you wish to use the microscopes.  Hand sanitizer will be provided.
