Join the ‘Right to Repair’ movement at the Repair Café, second Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.at the Owen Sound North Grey Union Public Library, starting March 9, 2024.
Skilled volunteers are eager to fix your broken items for free, from clothing to household items. Enjoy refreshments, connect with your community, and save money while keeping items out of landfills.
Embrace the opportunity to reduce waste, revitalize belongings, and make a positive impact—one repair at a time. This is a Georgian Bluffs Climate Action Team and Owen Sound & North Grey Library Partnership!
No need to register in advance. Bring in your broken toys, mechanical devices, appliances, small furnishings, and more for the fixers. Skilled needleworkers will also be available to repair zippers, fix holes and tears, darn a sock, and more. If you have parts and instructions for anything, bring that in also. Any item you bring in, you should be able to carry in your arms. If you can't carry it, it's too big!
