VOLUNTEER

Volunteers plant trees, shrubs, and flowers in the spring and early fall.  During the summer volunteers weed, water, mulch, rake, prune, divide plants, stake & support plants, monitor for pests, disease and weeds, and generally care for the plants.  Late fall requires preparing the plants for the winter.

Volunteers are also needed in decision-making roles.  Decision makers oversee a defined portion of the plantings determing what care is needed in their area, whether it be watering, weeding, mulching, etc.

We welcome all volunteers whether your commitment is for one hour, one day, or ongoing.  To keep informed about upcoming volunteer events, please sign up to receive emails about upcoming opportunities.  If you are interested in a decision making role please indicate this on the email sign up.  Sometimes the weather doesn't permit a lot of planning, so you can also follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date.

Be sure to wear clothes appropriate to the weather and closed shoes.  Bring drinking water.  If you have work gloves or tools bring those, too.
